That’s an interesting idea, though I wonder if it’s pushing the Jabba’s palace stuff too far back. My gut in this scenario would be to really trim down the palace stuff so you get back to what you’re setting up as the main storyline of Luke and Vader.
My problem with the default order is that Luke is inconsistent. On the palace he is already disillusioned and not nice. He lies about being a Jedi master. So something must have happened to him before.
The Dagobha stuff coming first sets this up perfectly, specially the “certain POV” scene. From that point on, Luke becomes a bit darker, and we see that in the Palace and latter on with the Ewok mind control.
