I know this might not be a popular idea, but for the final version of V3 I really think Yoda’s “Ahh, read them have you? Page turners they not!” joke should get cut out. By having Luke basically confirm that he didn’t even read any of the texts makes him seem childish in his behavior and hurts his change of heart. Why would Luke be so concerned about the text and protecting the legacy of the Jedi if he didn’t even bother to read the ancient texts? I think the scene would work and flow much better without the MCU-style humor.

Basically the dialogue would pace out as follow:

Luke: “The sacred Jedi texts!”

cut out joke and Luke’s reaction shot

Yoda: “Yes, yes, yes. Wisdom they held, but that library contains nothing that the girl Rey does not already possess.”
