Well, that certainly means a lot coming from you.

While the changes to V6 of the prequels have not been unanimously well received, I think it was worthwhile to give them another go. I’m really happy with the end result. Was it worth all that it ended up figuratively costing me? Probably not, but at least I accomplished a goal. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to halfway enjoy sitting down and watching 1 through 9 of the complete Hal9000 presentation of the saga when it’s finished. Anyone can join me. I’ll bring chee-toes.

Thanks for all your hard work. I watched V5 of 1 & 2 and they were incredible. My wife has never seen Star Wars before and when we watch the saga together I will be showing her these versions of the prequels.

Can you show her Adywan’s ANH:R, ESB:R, and RotJ:R (once the latter comes out)?

That’s the plan! Looking at the Coaxium Heist for Solo, undecided on R1, and then leaning towards Hal’s VII. It sounds impossible, but she doesn’t even know that Anakin is Vader, and even more clueless about the Emperor’s identity. Going to do an experiment with her, we are going to watch everything in chronological order including The Clone Wars, so I am wondering when she will pick up on these huge plot points during the show.

Which edit are you going to be using for The Last Jedi?

Leaning towards using The Last Jedi: Rekindled as a base and then adding some of HAL’s changes and maybe some from other edits. Will end up taking what I like most from a few different edits and making my own cut. Will probably do the same thing with mixing V6 of LoE and Revenge of the Sith: Rebalanced. Appreciate the great work from HAL and the other editors. I don’t think there’s any competition to HAL’s 1 & 2 in terms of better “theatrical” versions. To me, a SW movie needs to be at least near 2 hours long so I really appreciate the V6 of the PT HAL has made.
