Does anyone know when the Infinity Saga box set was announced? That would probably give us a good idea of when Disney would announce the Skywalker Saga set.
It’s also weird in that Disney seems to be otherwise forgoing homogeneity in their marketing, going out of their way to use the marketing logos from the time of release in a lot of material. The D23 announcements of material specifically had OT-style logos, PT-style logos, and ST-style logos representing each era. They didn’t “hamburger-logo-generator” every title like they’ve done for these blu-rays.

I don’t think it’s been officially announced. I haven’t seen a press release, just the Best Buy listing.

Found this article from September 13.

Oh, right, that. My bad. Still, no official press release yet that I’ve seen.
Looks like April 4th 2020 might be the release date for The Rise of Skywalker, and most likely the sequel trilogy as a whole.
Seems like Comic Book is citing Fantha Tracks which is citing a Dutch website that’s, so far as I can tell, essentially just guessing?
I believe dates for the digital/blu-ray/4k releases aren’t decided until after the 2nd or 3rd weekend, because that gives them a better idea as to when the meat of the theatrical run is going to be over, and gives them a better idea of how much distance between the end of that run and their release date will be.
I could be wrong, but that seems to be the general practice?
Early April/Late March would be the same as the last two.
ComicBook.com is saying a tentative April 4 release date for the TROS blu-ray.
I remember seeing a listing a couple months ago on a reputable source (I forget which) claiming an “early 2020” release for a saga set. May the 4th tie-in, perhaps? Or do we think they’ll want to milk the TROS disc for longer than a month and hold off until September or the holidays?
