Looking back at this thread, three and some years on, I think we can probably safely put to rest that the new Williams themes aren’t hummable/memorable? I think Rey’s theme, Kylo’s themes, and the Resistance march have all joined the pantheon of all-time great Star Wars music. Maybe there’s a nit to pick with the mix, but in terms of things TFA nailed, I think the music in general is near the top.
Yes actually, it’s amusing to read our interaction years prior and can happily concede to that yes, I do find TFA’s (and perhaps an extension to TLJ) being just as worthy as any of the other SW scores.
