I thought I’d post this one SFX shot and see if I could get some feedback. This is me still at the beginning stages of learning After Effects. I know what needs to be accomplished, but I don’t think I know the best way to get there:

I’m just having a hard time making the ship blend in with the background.

I think I went about rotoscoping the wrong way. I used the pen tool to basically make an outline around the ship, but now I’m seeing other videos that say the best way is to use simple (but multiple) shapes (w/the pen tool) to be more accurate.

I did use the color match (premiere) button but still adjusted the colors because it made it too blue. Still, it looks off to me.

Also you might notice the background looking a bit off. I used the content aware tool to remove the Naboo fighter. I tried to adjust the movement of the Jedi Starfighter to pass by just as the image looks really funky but you can still see it anyway.

Anyone care to comment?
