Sorry if it is in the thread, I read it but was still unsure.
What is the source for the project?

Hey Poita it is just a capture like most of our stuff, so far we have no access to any 35mm prints lol, hopefully at some point we will and I will be fully up and running and ready when that happens.

Hey thanks, so far no updates still dead in the water.

But at least I have a lot more time to devote to the gym now, should look really good this Summer!

Just thought I’d bump the thread and see if anybody has any news? Still no sign of this actually getting an official release by Disney.

Unfortunately it is dead as of now, hopefully at some point we can finish, we got to the point where we made a sample BD of the movie itself to test and I found 2 spots needing attention, but besides that I was thrilled as fuck to finally see it in action! and we do have a ton of extras for this, but my PC is still a no go for these projects, I need a rebuild or even a new one already done lol, so if anyone wants to send a really fast with tons of space PC we can get back to things.

Sorry for the crap news, but yea when we can we will get back to the grind stone, believe me we want to see this one as well along with some others we have on our plates.

Thanks for the bump though, wish I had better news.

*edit, all I can do as of now on this PC is surf the web and chat on forums and read/send emails.

Yea it sucks, like I said hopefully someday we can finish some of these and then I can share all we have done.

I responded to your message as well.

There’s a high-quality Amazon rip of The Black Hole floating around on the net right now. The video bit rate is a fairly healthy 13.3 Mb/s. The audio is AC3+ 640 kb/s. It runs at the proper frame rate - 23.976. It’s of course in the proper aspect ratio. And it contains the opening overture. It seems like the best, highest quality version out there for now. Just thought I’d throw that out there.

Yeah, I joined the Disney club to purchase this title, and am very disappointed that they botched the overture. It’s on the disc - there’s 2 playlists, and 1 includes the overture. The main m2ts file does start with the overture. The other playlist doesn’t include it - it skips the overture and starts at the main titles, and the menu only links to the playlist without the overture. You can’t even access it in the chapters menu.

And there are of course zero extras, not even the trailer.

There are people on the blu-ray forum that have contacted Disney over this, but so far it’s been brushed aside.
