Putting despecialized editions on DVD - ACVHD & MKV

I’m trying to convert the Despecialized editions in MKV format to something that’s compressed enough to fit on an 8GB DVD. I used Handbrake to convert it to H.264 (x264), fast 1080p30, Constant quality at RF 18, etc etc. The first time I tried converting the quality deteriorated significantly when I tried watching it, which defeats the purpose of the despecialized editions. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong and/or have a better method?

Download the AVCHD versions, they’re intended to be burned to 8GB DVDs.

Mind you, they won’t play in a DVD player since they’re still HD, but they’ll play in most Blu-Ray players.

Can I get a link to downloading them in AVCHD? I’m not techy and it took me a while to figure out how to download them in MKV

I’d go to Harmy’s threads and read the Introductory Guide, there should be instructions on how to get them in there. I don’t have the AVCHDs myself.
