Idea: Sesame Street - Classic Skits Perservation

Hello. I have this idea for an animated recreation of the first season of Sesame Street from 1969 to 1970. This project will have all the street scenes completely remade, with a new voice cast. The Muppets and cast skits will have the footage remade, while the audio will remain the same. However, I have found out that some skits from the first season have claimed to be lost, either completely or partially. If anyone has the lost Season 1 skits in its original English audio, then that would be fantastic. I look forward to hearing about these lost Season 1 skits. Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
UncutIsSuperior, who will be providing the voice for Mr. Hooper, as well as all the Muppet characters whenever this new cast is needed.

I can’t help you there, but I can help you with recreations of logos and bumpers from the first season, including the funding slide at the end and the NET logo(s).

I appreciate your help, but I’m already working on the funding credits myself. As for the title sequence, I have the version taken from the very first episode of Sesame Street all the way back in 1969, but I’m not sure how to remove the number 1 from the video. The title sequence is where your help could possibly come in handy. Thanks again.

Okay, just to update, the American Archive of Public Broadcasting (AAPB) will be preserving every episode of Sesame Street so far to celebrate the show’s golden anniversary. However, nobody mentioned anything about these episodes being available to watch on the AAPB’s website, so I’m wanting to make that happen. If they do become available on the AAPB’s website, I’ll let you know. As for my animated remake of the first season, I have finished recreating the funding credits. However, I’m not sure if I want to redo it because on the Season 1 credits found on the Old School DVD’s, the funding credits dissolves to the NET logo, but on actual first season episodes that I found on YouTube, it’s just a simple cut. I guess I’ll just have to see if the digitized episodes by the AAPB will have a simple cut if they ever become available on their website. Thanks for your help in trying to find these lost skits from the first season and please let me know if any of you do find something.

Apparently, I found out some sad news: that sixty of the 4,520 episodes of Sesame Street are lost. To make it even worse, these episodes will also be missing from the AAPB’s archives. The inserts from these episodes may be preserved, but the street scenes will not, so it looks like I’ll just have to recreate the street scenes from the lost episodes for my Sesame Street Animated project until they’re rediscovered, following the plot of the said street scenes on Muppet Wiki.
