How are you handling the time lines in your chronological edit? I did a sd edit of this myself years ago, took two tries (pc died 4 seasons in on one try and no back up) and I cut it so Jack dies on the island, watches the plane fly overhead and then the entire alternate time line plays out as his near-death experience with the end being the group reunited (with all the scenes of him dying on the island excised as they were used for his island death scene).
