There’s a lot more effects shots in these movies than we realize. Most scenes have had split screens done (to manipulate actors timing and pull from multiple takes within a single shot), not to mention who knows what other sort of shenanigans. That shot has definitely been altered a good bit.

After Dooku says, “I’m sorry old friend” and the droids re-engage their “arm blasters”, the next shot of Mace Windu turning his head look…off. I originally thought the footage was reversed, but watching it again now, that doesn’t seem to be the case. I just think it was slowed down. Everything else seems to be at a normal speed…then again, no one else makes a sudden movement like Windu does…plus Windu easily could’ve been filmed separately.
