While desperately looking for Smudger9’s Clone Wars (which I still can’t find anywhere sadly… I’m dying to watch it), I came across this edit of Rebels on reddit by a user named Porkerrican. This is the direct excerpt from his post:

"I have created a movie series out of Star Wars Rebels. Is it perfect? Probably not. I think it tells a good story. I definitely took out much of the fan service as I felt it to be forced. I did not include any of the Saw Gerrera episodes because they only served to tie the series to Rogue One and they just did not fit into the larger story of our protagonists.

Here’s the breakdown:

Episode 1 is Season 1 episodes 1, 2, 5, 8, and 9.
This was a pretty straight forward edit. I didn’t trim much as I felt it told a good story on it’s own.

Episode 2 is Season 1 episodes 10, 12, 13, 14, and 15.
Largely straight forward as well.

Episode 3 is Season 2 episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, and 11.
This episode was harder as I needed to include Rex as a character, but the episode is largely filler. I also wanted to keep the story focused on Ezra and his parents and the threat from the inquistors.

Episode 4 is Season 2 episodes 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22
This was probably the hardest one I had to do. I needed to include Agent Kallus and Zeb’s episode but how to include it and integrate it… Also that famously filler episode that comes back in season 4. Check it out. Probably my favorite of the episodes.

Episode 5 is Season 3 episodes 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, and 20.
So I focused this episode on Maul’s story. I wrapped it up on one movie as I wanted to close that thread up. It’s a pretty straight forward edit of those episodes.

Episode 6 is Season 3 episodes 7, 15, 16, 17, 21, and 22
This is Sabine’s episode. I just love her storyline. This is pretty straight forward edit

Episode 7 is Season 4 episodes 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.
Straight edit. I think Season 4 tells a pretty tight story.

Episode 8 is Season 4 episodes 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16.
Straight edit.

I hope you enjoy them. Please let me know what you think. This is my first editing project and I’m pretty happy with the result. I was worried that bringing the episodes together would kill the heart of the show, but I feel I was able to keep a lot of it."
