Warbler, Dayv, I've seen this happen before many, many times. The ultimate irony of nepotism is that it promotes incompetence, since these people have this imaginary safety net that will keep them on the job regardless of their acts. You know what happens to these people? They stagnate at their current jobs, since they have no real wish to improve, no real wish to learn, and make a terrible impression on other people. I have seen some real jerks get into high ranked jobs in no time while other people work to their bones year after year, just to get a small paycheck and support their needing wife and kids.

Those corporations with such mentality, that allows these sort of thing to happen, don't last too much, they got consumed by their own problems in some sort of a "business black hole". I've seen it happen a number of times.

Things I hate: these little political crappy things at offices, like people backstabbing others to get their jobs, gossiping and stuff like that, I HATE THAT, why can't everyone just smile, work normally from 8:30 to 5:30, be kind and friendly with everyone, get their normal paychecks and don't f*** with other co-workers?!
