Riiiiight… that line slipped my mind. Maybe they’re a hostile force to the First Order. Three factions? First Order led by Kylo, Resistance led by Leia, and the Sith led by Palpatine. Kylo and Rey team up to fight Palps. Hence Kylo might be redeemed in the eyes of the people but not the eyes of our main characters. A reversal of what happened to Vader where in the eyes of the characters he was redeemed but the galaxy still hated him for his atrocities. That would be interesting.
