Hi, pardon my asking but does anyone know if there exists a restoration of the original audio track for Scarface aside from the modified one from the DVD release and the completely altered bluray release? I’m looking for one to pair with the HD release

The Laserdisc releases would almost certainly contain the original 1983 mix. However, according to DVDCompare, you can find the original mix on the 2-disc SE/AE releases.

It’s also supposed to present on the Blu-ray, going by IMDB - yes, I know, not always a reliable source:

The 20th anniversary DVD, released shortly after, only has a Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS track of the original mix, but the 2006 Platinum Edition DVD re-release and the Blu-ray edition included the audio remix in both DD 5.1 and DTS formats. Though the original mix is also available on the Blu-ray release.

The non-anamorphic DVD from I think 1999 is based off of (possibly same master as) the laserdisc. So the 2.0 audio on that should be the closest in high quality (I can send you a rip of that DVD if you would like).

Hello, although I have uploaded many things in the past, my Mega account was taken down recently. If you are looking for something I’ve previously said I uploaded, I may not have it anymore or know where it is. I’m sorry

Please, I would greatly appreciate it if you’d be so kind 😃

Blu-ray includes the original stereo audio as a second option if you go into the audio settings at the menu
