Who could possibly believe a regime as corrupt as the USSR would be around much longer, especially with such a military-focused president like Reagan in the whitehouse...

Was Milller really so pessimistic?

miller was just using the art form to comment on what he thought of all that was going on at that point in time. Every artist does that sub-consciously. You can't help it if you do art or tell a story.

I consider Fantastic Four the perfect summer movie. Not really deep, not complex, but just dang entertaining. I enjoyed it, at least.

Granted my expectations were pretty low. It's no Spider-Man or X-Men, and certainly not Batman Begins, but fun nonetheless.

Possibly. Jessica Alba was fine in the role, but... she could have been a bit more.. er... interesting.

Well, despite being incredibly gorgeous, I found myself more interested in Johnny and Ben's story. She just wasn't a well written character, and it might not be Alba's fault at all...

But PERHAPS a better actress could have taken what was there and made it a bit less cliche'.

She was fine in "Sin City" though......

Anybody read the comic series "Bone"? I heard about a game based on them being made so I decided to check them out, and I was reasonably impressed.

Cool. Thx.

Is anyone else tired of DC's "event" stunts? I've only recently started collecting again, but it seems to me that they spend almost all year doing tie-ins and outs with their yearly crises (no pun intended). And now Marvel's getting into the act! Huuhhhhhh, God help us. Costing huge $$ to stay up on this stuff.

So... is anyone looking forward to the Flash movie I hear's slated to come out next year?
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

I'm looking forward to it as long as it's not the Flash 90210/Smallville version. He's always been a favorite, so it'll be good to see him get the big screen treatment. Have you ever seen the tv series that was on in the early 90's? I thought it was pretty darn good.

I saw the two TV movies which covered his origin and featured Mark Hamill as the Trickster. Thought these were pretty decent.
