What do you all think about this? Yea or Neigh?

The idea is good, but I think it needs to sound more muffled, like it’s coming from inside the body (try a low-pass filter). I think I heard somewhere that the sound of Vader choking someone was made by crushing walnuts inside an orange to get a moist cracking sound. Perhaps your sound is lacking the squishy “orange” part of it, as well.

I agree it needs a more squishy sound. Also, I would remove the first “pop” before she speaks. The reason being is she isn’t really struggling to say anything, her voice isn’t really grasping for air … so by only having the “popping” sounds after she speaks shows the grip is tightening enough to cause the sounds.

But I do like the idea of having such sounds since it really adds more depth to the moment and echoes to the “soon-to-be-Vader-we-all-know”.
