I say: do what you want for your edit. It’s…well…your edit.
With that in mind, I personally would love to have that shot redone with the original timing. And I’m also keeping in mind that you said you may change your mind. RogueLeader makes some excellent points. I know when I work on my edit I’m always trying to keep in mind where my eyes focus is. There are some excellent videos out there on film editing including on eye focus…i think there’s an actual term for it, but I can’t remember.

But again, it’s your edit.
