The big deal I heard about it was that it was partially finianced by the US distributor and that it was partially in english and japanese. You want revolutionary, check out Ghost in the Shell: Innocence. Personally, I can't stand overuse of CGI(i.e. thing that could be done by hand but wasn't). As such, its hard for me to like a lot of studio GONZO's work(Blue Sub 6 especially,Vandread maybe, since the CGI is rarely in the same scene) Even the celebrated Last EXILE fail greatly in that area. I'm simply not impressed much by CGI, especially when mis-used. It's really jarring at times.
