American Graffiti
I really liked it. I thought of it as a tamer prototype of Fast Times or Dazed and Confused but in a 1960s setting. I also intentionally went in having no idea what Lucas changed for the special edition that was on the blu-ray, and nothing stood out to me as something that didn’t belong there. It’s amazing, and tragic, that he could restrain himself and only make minor revisions to this movie but go so overboard with the Star Wars trilogy. I know that there aren’t really any visual effects that he could paint a bunch of CG graffiti over in this film, but still.
