Hi everybody im from Spain and i detected a pair of errors in the Castilian dub. both in V2.5.1 and in V2.7. It was because the source that they use for the (de)re/construction was 1993 THX Laser Disc edition. That source has the errors since the beginning. I fixed it and includes in an V2.7.1 .mp4 file that includes the rest of audio and subtitles tracks as the original V2.7 .mkv file. Also i includes the Castilian scrolling and Greedo Castilian subtitles from Martineus V.2.5.1.

My AKA is Gri"Yo"84 if that matters. I Want to send the V2.7.1. Version in the .mp4 file. How can i do?

Thanks a lot.

You could ask in our technical howto section, or start your own thread, but generally we don’t directly link things here. PM links seem to be fine.

On another subject, let me know if you know of any sources for the original Spanish 1977 and 1983 Greedo/Jabba subtitles (from the 35mm sources). These translations were often rushed and occasionally terrible, but I think they’d be worth preserving. They tended to be replaced by better translations in a different style for VHS/home video releases. But sometimes 16mm reductions are floating around, etc.

Yes, that’s right, I want the bad ones 😉

The Martineus reconstruction is an 35-16mm extract.

The audio track errors are 2.

First is in the Lars farm. When R2-D2 leave the Luke´s workshop and he tries to looking for him using an electronic binoculars. Then C3-PO says: “Los astrdes se nos escapan de las manos” instead of “Los astro androides se nos escapan de las manos”. The other one is when Luke and Obi-Wan Leaves the canteen and Obi wan says to Luke that he must sale his speeder. Luke say: “No pienso volver jamás a este plane-neta” instead of “No pienso volver jamás a este planeta”.

I fixed both problems using 2011 Blu-Rays Catilian track. And incorporate it to .mkv V2.7 full content creating one new .mp4 file named V2.7.1.

That file has too the scroll and Greedos/Han Castilian subtitles (35-16mm reconstruction by Martineus)

I have it on drive. Someone needs or wants it?

I don’t need the whole film, but I would love screenshots of each subtitled line in the Greedo/Jabba scenes. Also, I would prefer to have shots from the original 16/35mm elements instead of the reconstruction, if that’s possible.

I have v9.2 of SW, v9.0 of ROTJ and don’t know what version of ESB subtitles. I’d like to have the latest files possible for all of them. Where could I download them?

I’ve decided that I’d like to do a summer release of this project in its current state even if I haven’t got all of my outstanding translations received yet. Probably June or July. There’s just a lot of good new stuff in here, and I hate to be holding onto it much longer.

Burmese is frustratingly missing a translation for the ROTJ crawl at the moment (volunteers welcome! small translation job! must know burmese! and english!), but that may just have to be good enough.

Just found Burmese subs for the ROTJ crawl! They’re hardsubbed onto video (ugh), but for such a relatively small amount of text, I can manually transcribe it (Operation Eyestrain Redux). I think it may have been worth holding out these last six months after all.

Hi, I’m interested for the last version of the whole subs. I’ve the Harmy’s Star Wars Despecialized Edition 2.7, The Empire Strikes Back, DE v2.0 and Return of the Jedi, DE v2.5. I think they are the latest versions of Harmy’s project, if I’m wrong, please correct me.

I read above that there was a problem with some audio, Castilian / Spanish … if possible I would like to have the correct audio so that I could insert myself in the Star Wars 2.7 version. Thank you so much 😄

PM sent. Yes, those are the latest versions for the DeEd. The fixed Castilian audio is for Star Wars only, the dubs for Empire and Jedi are unchanged from the latest DeEd release.

Hello! I’m looking for Episode IV’s despecialized edition (2.5) Japanese subtitles. I discovered this project while searching for them. Thank you for your work!

PM sent. BTW, if you’re willing to help compare two different Japanese translations, I’d love some help on that front. I have a feeling the translation we use right now is the original theatrical one, which may have been rushed, and the other translation is from the home video releases, which had a little more time for better translations.
