Loved it, loved it, loved it.
In the interest of disclosure, this is the first story I remember as a child. I was five. I vividly remember getting my Eeyore stuffed animal and I kept him close for years. Weirdly (or not), it’s who I am to this day. No one - no one- would argue that Eeyore is not the mental state of who I am 50 years later. I see the world the way he does and I always have. I wear it proudly (usually) 😉 Sometimes you recognize a kindred spirit. But I digress.
I’ve always loved the story, the book, and the film when I was a small child. I saw this film was a thing and knew I’d be watching it. I liked it much more than I suspected I would. It’s a feel good story for kids, with a few adult situations for those of us who are now grown, and it’s totally predictable. Totally predictable in a way that was fun and heart warming.
Great story, amazing CGI, and a fantastic job of the adults taking a back seat to The Hundred Acre Wood. I’ll watch it again, probably tonight, and purchase. It’s currently on Netflix.
I’m on my iPad, so no photoshopped score tonight, but if I could, I’d give it 5 out of 5 red balloons.
