Again, I’m not the biggest fan of the idea either, but sticking your fingers in your ears and going “LALALALALA THEY’RE NOT DOING THIS” is just straight up denial and will hurt any chance you have at enjoying the movie. Accept that it’s at minimum likely to happen and you’ll have a better time, even if you still end up disliking the idea.

The idea that this is “sketched-out concept art” of that it contains any “scrapped ideas” is straight-up denial, as this is far beyond those stages. This is near-finalized to the point where I’d be surprised if this exact poster isn’t for sale at Celebration.

I agree with you. I’m not necessarily denying anything, and by the time Episode IX is released, I am going into the theater to watch the ninth installment in the Star Wars saga and forget everything that I have been following during the lead up to the film. I walked into The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi doing the same, and I loved both Episodes VII and VIII. I believe there is a way that Lucasfilm will make some of these ideas work, I fully trust the crew with the sequel trilogy. I am just giving some first thoughts on the poster and breaking down why the poster could be either real or not. The Last Jedi really changed my thoughts on the entire franchise in a very positive and life changing way. I am very excited about Episode IX, despite that the toxicity that grew in the fanbase did effect my excitement for Episode IX or any future Star Wars content.
