Rather than quote the last post (because it's getting quite lengthy, you'll agree), I just decided to go for the original. Hmm, that's interesting, though. I don't agree with compulsory voting, although I think it's good that your country is really into it regardless (even though I turned 18 last year and didn't vote in the last presidential election). I do like the blank vote concept, though, where you can vote for no one. Not only does it sound like a cool idea, it doesn't seem nearly as choice-inhibiting as the government forcing you to choose a candidate, even if you like none, which is what I originally thought you meant.
