Help: looking for... The Last Jedi edits - any good edits where Luke lives?

What is the point exactly of an edit where Luke doesn’t die at the end?
The character is dead.
If I had my way The Force Awakens would have ended with Rey landing on Achoo and calling out for him, saying that she needs his help and then, the blue shimmer, left side of the screen, and Luke says, “you may need to learn to help yourself” wipe to credits.

Honestly I’d prefer JJ brought him back and explained it as Luke truly becoming one with the force in a way that he could be renewed/reborn or what ever you want to call it.

Anyway, having him a Force Ghost entirely in TLJ is an interesting idea.

It totally subverts your expectations, it would have been flipping brilliant.
IF Luke has to live, and he did for 7 and most of 8, having him die offscreen inbetween 8 and 9 reduces him to an old codger who got his way, he ran away and died alone on Achoo.
I am in a very small camp of less is more of the OT heros in the new movie. Now if they’d have only done something about a more compelling collection of enemies instead of Kylo Stimpy, Emperor Redshirt and Captain Kenny Phasma. The weakest part of the new movies isn’t SJW’s, it isn’t not using OT characters enough, it’s laughably bad enemies.

I’ll fault the characterization of the franchise’s most interesting villain since ESB Vader as “Kylo Stimpy.” 😒

Having Luke be a spirit from the get go in the ST would have been a wonderful idea though.

First of all I’d just like to say when I first saw TLJ I was PO’d seeing Luke get killed so soon. I wanted to see him start training Jedi or something besides dying. But after thinking about it for a while it makes sense. He sacrificed himself in the same way that Kenobi did. He can actually guide & train Rey more this way than he ever could if he were alive.
