All of them? Bah!

In "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade", how do you figure out which grail to choose if you don't have the Grail Diary it came with? Damn their primitive copy protection!

Why are you giving away your HL2 copy, Sessler?

"He chose... poorly..."
(Indy goes up and takes an old, rusty grail)
"This must be it..." *drinks*
"Gahhh! What's happening to me?!" *Indy also goes old and dies*
"He also choose poorly. There was an even more simple cup over there, he missed it."

back on topic, which portable system is really worth it-- PSP or DS? I am not buying any of the next gen systems until they go down in price, and in the case of PS3, the technology ends up actually being adopted by things other than PS3. If anything, I might just go with a revolution since they are playing a more grounded game and they are cheaper.

It's hard to give an opinion about that, since it depends on your personal taste. I chose the DS mostly because of it's fun factor, price, game availability (which will improve soon), backwards compatibility, and future uses for the console.

Seeing as I have had both, I'd say don't waste your money. Save up for a next-gen PS3.

There aren't that many DS games right now. If you're looking for a handheld, the GBA would be your best bet.

But the DS DOES play GBA games, so it already opens up a huge library if you don't have anything that can already play GBA games.

I can't really make a judgement on the PSP; I can't even afford one.
On the positive side, I picked up Kirby's Canvas Curse for the DS, and I reccomend it to anyone who has a DS.

Too much clutter on these boards from everyone else's signature pics, don't want to add more.

I played it this week, felt like Yoshi Touch and Go with new graphics... Although I could be wrong, as I've played for about 5 minutes.

I got the much antecipated (by me) Bomberman DS, I must say I expected much more. Feels like the game was rushed into completion, as it lacks some features I've read about in some early previews. The single player mode is somewhat repetitive and too simple, yet quite difficult. The multiplayer mode is not as good as the Bomberman64 one, but it's quite fun, specially if you're playing with 8 other people (as I did this weekend). I would only recomend it to die-hard bomberman fans or to anyone who gets to play in multiplayer mode very frequently.

Well, I've not played Yoshi's touch and go, since I've heard it was mostly a tech demo.

The biggest difference from what I've read is that YTAG is like old games such as Galaga in that there is no true end, it just keeps going and going and the only objective is the high score.

Kirby is more complex, and has a definite end, and a narrative, however shallow, more like Super Mario Brothers.

Yoshi T&G was a tech demo, used mostly to develop the DS, but it was so good they decided to make it into a game. It has nothing from the tech demo original code though.

I just wish Rare would break up from Microsoft's evil claws and go back for developing to Nintendo... DS would have much better games (and more games) if they did.

Honestly, I think Nintendo was smart to get rid of Rare. They're more of a liability now than an asset.

The've published five games since they were sold.

One of them sucked (Grabbed by the Goulies)
One of them is a remake (Conker)
Three of them are friggin' GBA GAMES. (Banjo Pilot, Grunty's Revenge, Saberwulf)

So, with a track record like that... I don't see how Rare was much worth it. (Furthermore, since MS still has no handheld, Rare could publish games on the DS like they did on the GBA) Basically, unless Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero are awesome beyond awesome, I've mostly lost faith in Rare.

Perhaps Rare could be brought back to the Nintendo side. Yes... it would be a powerful asset. Can it be done? They will join Nintendo or die!

No. They'd just hurt more than they'd help.

What I would like to see is Silicon Knights get to work and hurry up on Too Human. As good as Eternal Darkness was, I can't wait to see what they do next.

Other than that it is in development, nothing.

It would be cool if it was like an MMOFPA where you could play as your own bounty hunter and go throughout all the planets in the Galactic Federation looking for missions, killing pirates, and exploring cavernous worlds like those of MP and MPIIE.

Of course, that would most likey seriously destroy the quality of the level design, so unless Retro was WAY commited to such a long term project, I wouldn't want that.
