It works!!! I’ve had a trial run this evening and the new device bypasses the HDCP and records brilliantly. I’m now playing around with the bitrate to see what difference it makes.

EDIT:
I’ve just captured it in the highest bitrate the device will allow and it’s looking really good. I’m not sure when I’ll get a chance to incorporate it into the rest of the film so I’m now uploading the file to enable anyone who has more time than me to have a go at it.
