Screech will be Enos. He has to be in it. He was in both Bayside, CA, and Bayside, OH. Him, Zach, Lisa, and Principal Belding were the only ones in both series.

So Belding would be Boss Hogg, right?

That's what I'm pullin' for. And I could handle Lisa as Daisy. I always liked Lisa Turtle. Get her in some Daisy Dukes and we're all kinds of good. Unfortunately...

Simpson Puts Up Her 'Dukes' for First Feature Role

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Pop star Jessica Simpson (news) has been cast as Daisy Duke in the big-screen remake of "The Dukes of Hazzard," a project that essentially marks her feature film debut.

Seann William Scott and Johnny Knoxville already had been cast as Bo and Luke Duke, respectively, in the Warner Bros. project. Jay Chandrasekhar is directing. A start date has not yet been set.

The series, which ran on CBS from 1979 to 1985, followed the weekly adventures of southern cousins Bo and Luke -- "just two good ol' boys, never meaning no harm," according to the Waylon Jennings theme song -- who raised hell driving their souped-up Dodge Charger, the General Lee, in fictional Hazzard County. They, along with their cousin Daisy and Uncle Jesse, staged running battles with the corrupt authorities, Boss Hogg and Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane.

Pop star Simpson shot to fame when her marital misadventures with fellow singer and husband, Nick Lachey (news), aired on MTV's "Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica." She has played herself in countless TV appearances and had a guest starring run on "That '70s Show." On the big screen, she played herself in the 2002 feature "The Master of Disguise."

Unfortunately, as soon as she opens her mouth, we'll all be wishing Catherine Bach was back, regardless of age.

That depends on if Luke was referring to Jessica Simpson or Jessica Biel. I've seen far too much of Simpson already. I don't want to see her in this. Biel, like Gundark says, would be great in this role. I even mentioned it to my wife. She hates the idea of Simpson and thinks Biel would be good as well. Seeing Biel in Blade: Trinity is the only reason I'm giving the first Blade another chance (didn't like it the first time I saw it) and seeing the second one at all.

Same, although I'm willing to give Blade II the benefit of the doubt because Guillermo del Toro also directed Hellboy, one of my favourite movies this year. BTW, did you know that Stephen Norrington, director of Blade and LXG, used to work for Jim Henson's Creature Shop?

Henson, eh? Respect level has gone through the roof. I always wished I had the opportunity to work with that man. He's a genius.

Oh you guys have got to see Blade II.

It shits all over Blade, Guillermo ROCKS and is one of my favourites not only as a director but as a person.

He's talking about releasing a director's cut of Mimic (there were good bits but I didn't really like it when I saw it), using the raw materials that were shot and not filming new stuff this DVD will contain unseen footage and run about a half hour shorter but will be closer in tone to the script that he went in with before the studio started fucking with the product.

Seriously check out Blade II.

Yes, but horrible in that car-crash sort of way; you just can't look away.

My wife was addicted to the show. And I wound up watching it with her by default. How does Nick put up with that shit? She must be great in bed. But, then again, the beginning of this past season might imply otherwise...

JS - "You used to open doors for me early in our marriage."
NL - "Yeah? Well early in our marriage, I was getting laid."

Or something to that effect. Cracked me the hell up.

Actually, his sister kissed him, despite the fact that "she had always known."

Leia was the one initiating that exchange.

I'm sick of being politically correct. All its' gotten us is the feminization of America. FUCK everyone. There I offended everyone equally so I didnt discriminate. As to the 30/70, it's more like 10/90 ratio, because the 10% is always some minority group crying that they're being discriminated against.

Although political correctness does suck and has resulted in limits on modes of expression I would argue against the Feminisation of America theory.

If anything current political climates have resulted in a further marginalisation of females. You realise that they are an average of 51% of any given population? Yet their power, economic and political, is half that of their male counterparts. Superior numbers and less say, even on issues concerning their own bodies. Men rule, and I don't mean that in the "Yoda ROCKS man" kind of way.

I'd say that there is still a ways to go until you become a femocracy.

I agree with the best person for the job whomever s/he may be. Bring on a female President.

Just so long as we can all still say whatever we want to say without being reprimanded by the thought police.

Heh, true.

Probably more true in Reagan's case.

I still wouldn't mind seeing Lady Macbeth run for her own term in office.

Now that we know that even an organ-grinder's monkey can do the job.
