Someone (who just had a baby, no less) working on a project they’re not getting paid for in their spare time that they’ll be giving you access to for free when it’s finished is not the same as someone making a product they’re being paid for that they intend to sell.
No one on this board owes anyone ETAs or progress updates, and comments like that just serve to piss them off and make them feel unappreciated. One or two people have abandoned projects altogetger in the past, or decided not to share them, because of attitudes like that from other members.
