Some people have said I plan way too far ahead. Maybe that’s true. But at any rate, I certainly see the potential in restoring and preserving even those movies no one has even heard of, let alone feels worth restoring (which is what The Best of the Worst is for, anyway). I have in my arsenal Davinci Resolve, GIMP, multiAVCHD, DVD Styler, Blender, Audacity, FFMPEG, and plenty of other tools that have yet to be identified to assist me in my quest to assist in the restoration and preservation of media, and I hope to have human input as well. For film-based projects, I plan to release them only in 24 frames per second, except when making HFR versions, in which case they’ll generally be 60 frames per second (with the sole exceptions of films originally made in HFR, which will be released only in their original frame rates whenever and as possible), and for video-based projects, I plan to do them only in 60 frames per second for NTSC territories, and 50 frames per second for PAL territories. My projects also generally aim to restore the original logos.

All of the above sublabels will have their own threads.

When I start a thread on any of the above individual projects, I will add an (ACTIVE) tag next to its name. When a project is ready, I will add a (RELEASED) tag next to its name.

Do transformers 1984 first please looking forward to this. 😃

Whatever my current resources allow, is what I’ll do first. It may not be Transformers, but I have every intention of doing that as soon as I can find the right sources, and as soon as my current resources allow me to.

OK, after some quick looking around, it would appear a Blu-ray was released in Japan, albeit only with a Japanese 2.0 audio track. I’ll try to track it down, but if I can’t, I’ll have to ask for help.

I got some bad news on that I think its just sd.

Do you know, I think I just realized that myself. At any rate, it looks like I’ll have to do my best with what I can access, even if it means I have to cut out numerous duplicate frames. Here’s hoping the Shout! DVD masters don’t have that dreaded ghosting… it’s why I’m using French DVD masters for my planned restoration of Inspector Gadget, by the way, those look rather clean as far as episode titles are concerned, plus none of that damned ghosting that’s every Saturday morning cartoon restorer/preserver’s worst nightmare.

I’ll definately be following these projects. If you’re interested in foreign dubs, I have the original Norwegian dub for Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too (the other two weren’t dubbed for their theatrical release). All three featurettes were also dubbed for television in the 80s. But I have not been able to find these (except for an incomplete version of “Tigger”)

I’m working on various Disneyland Anthology episodes myself (particularly the eight “From All of Us to All of You” Christmas episodes), and I hope to start a thread on these shortly.

Obviously, I won’t be restoring the TPE logo until at least the final 17 episodes of the second season, as I believe TPE wasn’t involved until 1997.

And to the person who inquired about my taste for foreign dubs, yes, I am interested in them. I’d especially appreciate if someone on here has the Japanese Blu-ray releases of the Dollars Trilogy, so I can incorporate the Japanese dubs thereof when I work on them (I’m already working on A Fistful of Dollars at present).

And yet, I feel as though I could probably do one better on them. Probably.

Maverick’s DVD releases used the original broadcast video for only the first season, “Five Faces of Darkness”, and “The Rebirth” before switching to the Rhino versions. The first season episodes also have a hodgepodge of variant intros and end credits, as well instead of the versions they originally aired with. And since Sunbow created their PAL masters by converting the NTSC video masters, you’ve got frame-blending and whatnot to deal with, as well.

There are a number of French DVDs that use the broadcast video, in addition to the Japanese DVDs (which, outside of a few episodes, are edited), but none seems to cover every episode. There’s also the issue of title cards: most copies of the second season episodes that have been available since the '90s don’t have their title cards (this goes for episodes of G.I. Joe and Jem that aired that same season, as well), and while episodes after that point always have title cards, foreign copies have translated title cards. And if you want to get REALLY pedantic, finding versions of the end credits with the original Claster credit (as opposed to Sunbow Productions International) is a bit of a challenge for Sunbow shows, as well.

Sure, thanks! BTW I just got a Spanish-dubbed cassette of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too released here in the States in 1986, in case someone else was planning on giving me Spanish dubs for the other featurettes as well.

Wouldn’t it be easier just to track down each of the edited VHS releases? I would love to contribute to this since I have a few tapes from the edited broadcast.
