Please tell me.

In The Empire Strikes Back, did Luke say, “Father”, before Luke say “Ben, why didn’t you tell me”?

When I saw the Despecialized Edition, I was shocked.

Because Luke said “Father” before Luke said “Ben, why didn’t you tell me” in The Empire Strikes Back.

In 1980, I saw The Empire Strikes Back.

It was discussed all over the world until the Return of the Jedi was released.

Is Darth Vader really the father of Luke?

If Luke had said “Father” in 1980, at that point everyone knows that Luke’s father is Darth Vader.

Doesn’t he say it in all the releases? Haven’t seen the SEs for years. Yes, it was there in 1980.

And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

I have literally never seen a version of ESB where he doesn’t say “father” in that scene.

Everyone, thank you very much.
In 1980, I saw only once The Empire Strikes Back.
Because the word “No, I am your father” by Darth Vader was too shocking, it may have forgotten the scene saying “Father”.
Since Lucas often add extra things every time media is released, I thought that he added “Father” to the movie version later.
The word “Father” is necessary for the word “Ben, why didn’t you tell me”, right?

He’s saying “father” in response to Vader’s telepathic “Luke” call from the Star Destroyer.

Yes, Luke is saying “father” in response to Vader’s telepathic “Luke” call from the Star Destroyer.
I had thought that Luke responded “father” in 1980 is the same as Luke accepted Vader as a father in 1980.
