Hello there, I was wondering what the difference between the Japanese Laserdiscs and the Hd reconstructions on the forum are because I havent seen the laserdisc and wanted to watch the theatrical version for the first time.

Laserdiscs aren’t HD, and are pretty low quality if you’re used to HD. HD reconstructions don’t exist (yet).

Sure, but only a few particular expensive devices were able to read them, and you needed and a specific HD adaptor.
Furthermore, there is no Star Wars LD made in this HD format.
