Allow me to re-frase that question and make this a more interesting and useful thread: when was the first time GL mentioned "episode 4" or "a new hope"? Since he claims he had the whole episodes drafted out back in the early 70s, he should have known it was called episode 4 - a new hope before... I bet he never mentioned it until 1980.
