It may not be that big of a deal with there being no connection between Luke and Dagobah, but if there is some connection between Luke and Dagobah the line becomes much, much more interesting.
It would have been interesting if Jedi had a genetic memory or group subconscious such as the Bene Gesserit of Dune.
