I don’t think there’s any sort of timeframe. Harmy hasn’t been around much recently, he’s probably been busy.
I’m looking forward to it. I just hope he doesn’t put all of the matte lines back in. As I really did enjoy the digital compositing on the Blu-Ray’s removing those bad matte lines all through the movie. Also removing the Emperor’s Slugs, etc.
That goes against the whole point of the project, though.
People have their own opinions on it. I think of “Despecialized” by removing the CGI and correcting the edit, etc. isn’t the same thing as putting the matte lines back in that have been removed because the elements/paintings were later digitally composited which caused there to be no matte lines anymore.
Also, some of the matte lines didn’t even show up in the theater, but showed up on the home video release.
