I grew up with multiple Star Wars’s. There were the films. There were the comics. There were the books. There were the spinoff books. There were the toys and how my friends and I played with them. I never tried to make them all one. The Marvel comics were wild and carried the adventure to new levels. Each new film changed things. Each new anything changed things. I guess that has given me a higher tolerance to things changing. I’m more about the feel of the universe and for me the only film that really stands out from the rest is The Force Awakens. Just about everyone who has written for Star Wars in any medium has had a better grasp of Star Wars story telling than Abrams. Solo was exactly the movie I’ve been waiting for since reading the Brian Daley novels and the A.C. Crispin novels. I am excited for each new entry into the Star Wars universe. They’d have to go to the lengths Star Trek Discovery has gone to ruin it. For me Star Trek ended with the end of Enterprise. Everything since is rubbish. Star Wars is still going strong as far as I’m concerned.

- your thoughts: Did Disney kill star wars because it sounds like they did with the last jedi solo and resistance.
