Several areas and demographics of our country have their own gun culture- don't jump to too many conclusions.

Chaltab, no offense but is your Dad some kind of hillbilly hick? 'Ah swear ah woulda shot that goddam sonnuvabitch and then ah woulda shot his goddam horse'. I'm not even going to try getting into the whole gun debate on this thread, but maybe guys on horses and Chalt's Dad should be a bit less trigger happy.

I swear I didn't see him until we were two feet in front of him. My dad only drew his gun incase the horse guy flipped out and tried to attack him. Then, the INTOXICATED person on the horse pulled a 357 from his saddle (which is illiegal anyway, since he was drunk). My dad talked to the police about it and they said he had every right to drop him where he stood.
Several people in the last few years have been killed hitting horses with drunk riders, and my dad had his fiance, his two kids, and one of hers in the car with him. Sure, he could have been more civil, but I can't fault him for being angry, and I swear in the same situation I probbly would have shot the guy as soon as he drew a gun from his saddle. I honestly thought he would just flip out and shoot my dad.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

I guess today can constitute as a bad day. I had to explain the same thing to three people ten times! I had to explain that we can't just take quicktime clips from the hard drive and put them on a DVD without compressing them to Mpeg 2. I told them that we need FCP to put the clips in order, make a quicktime movie of them, and compress them to Mpeg2 from there. Then I told them we need DVD studio Pro to handle the encoding to DVD because iDVD cant handle Mpeg2 encoding. They kept saying things like "I don't understand.." And i wonder how can I explain it any simpler to them?
This is what I have to look forward to, 4 or 5 days of nothing but encoding 60 hours worth of material to DVD. And that's just the NTSC DVD masters. Then I gotta convert the timeline to PAL and encode that to DVD.
