I have to say, I’m not a fan of this type of research, where the person doing the research takes a less than impartial position. While the whole trolls and bots discussion is interesting and relevant to me, these articles tend to want to just want to use research results to smeer the opposite side. There’s no middle ground. It’s a vicious cycle of us versus them, which will end up doing a lot of damage to beloved properties, which have been hijacked by extremists from both sides, bend on pushing their agendas down people’s throats, whether they be called the alt-right, white supremacists, liberals, or sjw’s.
