My day was pretty okay. But tomorrow I find out what i gotta do for the next several months.... And I have to finish three minutes on a ten minute piece. Thank God the music is slow. At least I don't have to cut as much.

Chaltab, no offense but is your Dad some kind of hillbilly hick? 'Ah swear ah woulda shot that goddam sonnuvabitch and then ah woulda shot his goddam horse'. I'm not even going to try getting into the whole gun debate on this thread, but maybe guys on horses and Chalt's Dad should be a bit less trigger happy.

Several people in the last few years have been killed hitting horses with impaired riders, and that guy on the horse was drunk, or high, maybe, and riding in the middle of a street after the sun went down. I swear I didn't see him until we were two feet in front of him. My dad only drew his gun incase the horse guy flipped out and tried to attack him. Then, the INTOXICATED person on the horse pulled a 357 from his saddle (which is illiegal anyway, since he was drunk). My dad talked to the police about it and they said he had every right to drop him where he stood.

Several people in the last few years have been killed hitting horses with drunk riders, and my dad had his fiance, his two kids, and one of hers in the car with him. Sure, he could have been more civil, but I can't fault him for being angry, and I swear in the same situation I probbly would have shot the guy as soon as he drew a gun from his saddle. I honestly thought he would just flip out and shoot my dad.

Which is a might bit more civil on his dad's part than, say, somebody "poppin a cap in yo ass cuz u scuffed my Pumas!"

Several areas and demographics of our country have their own gun culture- don't jump to too many conclusions.

I'm not denying that riding a horse in the middle of the street is dumb, especially when drunk or drugged. I'm alos not denying that the guy riding the horse was a dick for even thinking of pulling a gun on your dad or anyone else. It's just a shame that guns even come into it.
Just mu opinion though, and I have heard all the arguments for and against guns, and I can see where everyone is coming from, I just don't dig guns. Let's leave it at that.

I have a question, and this is a bit off topic but it does lend itself to a bad day. If i like a lady and I don't take the opportunity to ask her for her contact info is it wrong to ask a friend who we both know for said contact info? this is e-mail and not a phnoe number.

It would be better to ask her yourself, but I don't think it's wrong to get it from a friend. E-mail is sort of a free for all anyway, as opposed to her phone number. Plus you can say that you felt too shy to ask her yourself or whatever, which some girls quite like.

I guess today can constitute as a bad day. I had to explain the same thing to three people ten times! I had to explain that we can't just take quicktime clips from the hard drive and put them on a DVD without compressing them to Mpeg 2. I told them that we need FCP to put the clips in order, make a quicktime movie of them, and compress them to Mpeg2 from there. Then I told them we need DVD studio Pro to handle the encoding to DVD because iDVD cant handle Mpeg2 encoding. They kept saying things like "I don't understand.." And i wonder how can I explain it any simpler to them?
This is what I have to look forward to, 4 or 5 days of nothing but encoding 60 hours worth of material to DVD. And that's just the NTSC DVD masters. Then I gotta convert the timeline to PAL and encode that to DVD.

i haven't e-mailed the lady yet but I think I can wait until the next time I see her to ask her if I can contact her. She may end up giving me her phone number. who knows what'll happen. When the friend of mine gave me the e-mail address i told him that I should get this from her not him and I lost that oppurtunity once she left. My other buddy who I've known longer told me that you should forget about thisd girl if no other oppurtunities to talk to her come up. And he's right, I have gotten hung up on women in the past. In fact, there was this one that I didn't talk to for five years and still had a thing for. I have since gotten over her, but for this current girl, I've made a descion, if she does in fact move to Detroit or just plain shows up again, then I'll have oppurtunity to talk to her, but if she doesn't show up ever again, then tough just forget about her and move on.

Yeah, I never watched it much, but it actually seemed to be a pretty decent dub, which can sometimes be a rarity from FUNimation.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.
