Yes. It would seem that the vast majority of the Mangler Brothers, Inc., are in support of the Cubs. Sorry. But I'll pull for the Phils in every game they play except against the Cubs and Twins and Red Sox (will the Phils play the Twins or Bosox in interleague at all this season? Haven't checked the schedule).

So, on that note... GO CUBS!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and they're still sitting at 9-6 since their game against the Pirates was rained out yesterday.

For the time being, at least. They may wind up in D.C.

They used too. They were called the Washington Senators. there were two Washington Senators. The 1st moved to Minnasota and was renamed the twins. After that. and new exspansion was created in Washington also called the Senators. They moved aways as well and became the Texas Rangers. It would be nice see Baseball return to our nation's capital but not at the cost of Montreal lossing it team. I never want to see another city through that again.

Btw here is a list of all the team in MLB

NATION LEAGUE

East Division

Atlanta Braves
Florida Marlins
Philadelphia Philllies
Montreal Expos
New York Mets

Central Division

Chicago Cubs
Houston Astros
St. Louis Cardinals
Pittsburgh Pirates
Cincinnati Reds
Milwaukee Brewers

West Division

San Francisco Giants
Los Angeles Dodgers
Arizona Diamondbacks
Colorado Rockies
San Diego Padres

AMERICAN LEAGUE

East Division

New York Yankees
Boston Red Sox
Toronto Blue Jays
Baltimore Orioles
Tampa Bay Devil Rays

Cental Division

Minnesota Twins
Chicago White Sox
Kansas City Royals
Cleveland Indians
Detroit Tigers

West Division

Oakland Athletics
Seattle Mariners
Anaheim Angels

Unfortunately, Bud Selig won't give them a choice. He's been scouting new cities for the Expos for a couple of seasons now. The only way for this to change would be for the Expos to have a killer season and up their attendance numbers like the Marlins and Twins have done as of late.

By the way, Matt Clement was carrying a no hitter into the 7th inning against the Mets. Didn't keep it, but oh well. He struck out a career high 13 batters and lifted the Cubs to a 3-0 win to sweep the Mets in the 3-game series. Cubbies have now won 6 in a row and sit alone atop the NL Central Division with a 12-6 record. The gap is widening between the first and last place teams in the NL Central, but it's still the closest division in MLB.

Hey Warbler, at least the Phils are in third place right now. But they did break that losing streak (if only temporarily).

The thing I don't understand and maybe you can explain it to me Warbler is why do all divisions in MLB have 5 teams except NL Central with 6 while the AL West has 4. Why, when they were realigning a couple seasons ago, didn't they even it all out? I know that this set up allows for an even number of teams in each league... is that the reason? Makes it easier to set up the playoffs?

my guess is that they didn't want to have to move too many teams from league to the other and that they wanted to allign the Divisions by location . Teams in the East are in the East Divisions etc....

how did we lose to the Expos? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Author
Time
Yeah, but it still doesn't always work that way (alignment by regions, that is). Just look at the NFL. Aye aye aye. They're trying, but it's not necessarily working.

As for the MLB. Should the Expos move to D.C., I say put them in the AL East and move the Pirates to the NL East to balance the NL. To balance the AL, move Toronto to the AL Central and Kansas City to the AL West. Then we're at five teams in each division.

Damn, I should be the commish.

but then all teams couldn't play on the same day. Unless it was interleague play. The could make the season take longer.

Go to the Cubs website and pick which hat you prefer and send me the link. I'll get it for you. You also need to let me know if you want it fitted (which size) or just the cloth adjustable strap in back.

I'm assuming when you say "blue" that you mean the bright blue cap and not the darker blue that I pictured here in this thread, right?
