For me, best episode in years. As a Doctor Who episode, fantastic. Clearly Jodie is starting to make The Doctor her own. For that matter, so are the companions. I’m loving the tougher Doctor and the more serious tone. I’m watching it again in an hour or so just to see the great performances and the cerebral discussions. It’s a great Who episode, but more to the point it’s a great TV episode - Who or otherwise. I was floored. The last 15 minutes or so were a new level of seriousness. I suspect because it was a known event in our history.

Also nice to see the companions get a substantial amount of story. Love LOVE Mandip. She had some great scenes tonight! As with the Doctor, I’m digging the deeper work. She really shined in her scenes. Must be her Mexican heritage. 😉

Great work by Tosin also. I’m liking that he’s more than just the frustrated kid from the first episode. He’s becoming quite a well rounded character. Same for Bradley. More depth and great as an audience surrogate. The scene where Graham talks about missing Grace was particularly well done and very moving.

Last and nowhere least; Vinette!! OMG, she was fantastic. LOVE HER, and not just swoon (although, there is her physical beauty). Tonight was strength of performance. She’s amazing.
