Never mind that, where the heck does the X-wing ladder go when you’re not parked in a hangar? In the cut sandstorm footage from ROTJ, Luke basically chucks it on the ground before taking off.
It wouldn’t surprise me if there was already an in universe explanation for this, and I want to hear it. I could use a good laugh.
I know the Sequel Trilogy X-wings have a slot for what could conceivably be a telescoping ladder.
But as for the OT X-wings, who knows.
I secretly hope it’s some sort of matter generator that is only used to generate single use ladders that they litter the universe with.
