Medium rare is best for most cuts IMO. The fat is a unappetizing at lower temps. Really lean cuts like a sirloin? Give it to me rare, baby.

All my life, I’ve been served nothing but well-done* steaks. Right now, I’m experimenting with different levels of done-ness to see what I like. Extra-rare steak was an interesting experience, but I likely won’t eat it again.

*Overcooked is more like it.

Medium well is where the money is. It’s not overcooked, it’s not gross, it’s juicy but not too chewy. Just overall sexy af

Medium rare is perfection. The problem is that getting a consistently cooked steak at a restaurant that is under 40 dollars a plate is impossible.

No. I like to buy my burger, take it home. Disassemble it, bake the bun, then put it back together.

That way the bun is fresher.

Just ate a 1.75 pound steak with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese in one sitting. It was awesome but I think i might die. I don’t know what I was thinking not cutting the steak in half and saving it for later

Filet mignon, medium, with truffle fries. Preceded by duck, followed by chocolate soufflé. Also, dying.
