Warb, you were worried that they were going to shove the gender change in your face before, and now you’re saying they didn’t bring it up enough?
There ish no pleeeeasink you! [/Goldmember voice]

I just think the Doctor should have had a bigger reaction to becoming a woman(remember how the 11th Doctor started to react when he thought for a moment that he had regenerated into a female?). And my worry was about a feminist agenda being shoved in our faces, not just the gender change.
OH NO THE FEMINISTS!
I knew you wouldn’t understand.
Anyway, if you wish to say anything on this subject, I suggest the politics thread. (I don’t think the mods want us debating Feministism here).
Warbler.
Warbler.
What did I do now?
Did I take Frink’s comments too seriously?

So, you’re saying I shouldn’t look at Frink’s posts??

I’m saying Frink doesn’t budge an inch and gives no quarter, so it’s fruitless to engage him. It’s best to take his comments in stride and continue on your merry way.
I’d like to go on record and say that’s not what I was saying (Although it is true). What I was saying was basically much more specifically said by ashsawchain
I too was expecting some sort of reaction. That fan-made series with the woman doctor by Rian Johnson had a nice reaction, where she is saying “something’s not right”, then catches sight of her reflection in a window while walking down the street… “Oh no! it’s all wrong!”
"Close the blast doors!"

That was one thing I was glad of. The less they draw attention to it the better.
I was glad of that also. There will be time this new season to address it occasionally if it works with the story, but no need to make it a plot point the way I suspect Moffat would have. Moffat’s not really a less is more guy.

Yep, exactly this. And I’m sure it will pop up here and there.

Although I quite liked the majority of Moffat’s run, I can’t deny this at all, and I’m kinda glad we didn’t get the first female Doctor under him.

Good suggestion.
Maybe Warbler should stop bringing it up over and over.
Did anybody notice that in the recent episode the Doctor is a woman? Isn’t that buck wild?

You mean this:

Probably wouldn’t have been a good idea to use the word “wrong”. Some might be offended at the use of “wrong” when finding out one is female.

I didn’t mean it should be a plot point.
Did anyone notice that the Doctor was wearing an earring at the end of the episode? When did she pierce her ear? Did she regenerate with the piercings? Not complaining, just fun to point out little things like that.
.
Maybe Warbler should stop bringing it up over and over.
All I did was bring up the fact that I was disappointed that the Doctor didn’t have a bigger reaction to discover that he was now female.
Then ChainsawAsh said this:
Warb, you were worried that they were going to shove the gender change in your face before
Which was somewhat inaccurate and so I corrected him and said what I was actually worried about.
I don’t see what I did wrong in that. It was not an attempt to bring something up over and over again, it was an attempt to address an inaccuracy. It was not intended to have a full blown discussion on feminism.
Finally, maybe Frink should stop tilting at windmills.

I did not notice that. Are you sure her ear was pierced? Aren’t there earrings that work without a hole in the ear?

Yeah, I noticed it and it irrationally annoyed me. The Doctor isn’t really masculine, but that doesn’t mean (s)he’s feminine either.
Warb you conveniently left out the part where you complained about feminist agendas…yet again.
And my worry was about a feminist agenda being shoved in our faces, not just the gender change.
