It very much feels like the missing special edition Matte shot we never got and I can also think of another point it could be used again…

I hope so too. Also how long will that shot be running for, as it might be odd that the trees don’t rustle and the clouds are still if it’s to long. I agree that it the falcon appears to land by one of the smaller temples but the lack a proper establishing shot always (not even exaggerating) bothered me and does make it unclear. Also I think its landing site should be changed to outside the main temple. I mean why would you park in the Burger King car-park just to cross the street to a McDonald’s?(random? I don’t care!)
BTW I think the guy with the hair dryer is standing on like the 2nd or 3rd level?
AND, Is there anything to be done about the super black interior of the rebel base. I’m going to assume it was like that to hide some set crimes and that it would have fitted better with that original night time concept. But I do look at it now and wander why the rebels didn’t put some new bulbs in. Maybe they couldn’t afford the electricity bill? Who Knows!?!?
Oh and Ady, there is a silver lining to everything you know. Here I guess it could be that you are officially cool enough to be impersonated. As community pillars go you are one of the biggest here and I know everyone here would agree its appalling someone would treat you that way. May the force be with you! (Too cheesy?)

Well he made the mistake of claiming he knows my address and that he would be coming to murder me. Doesn’t matter if the guy is in the USA or not, he threatened to kill a UK citizen. When this happens, it becomes a police matter. Several accounts using the same IP address have already been identified and they have been logged. The videos being posted and the fake adywan accounts, are all by the same guy, and so are most of the people commenting on his videos. So it’s up to me now whether i want to take this further legally or not.

Hey Ady! Do you consider changing the Rebel base to look more like in the Rogue One? In the original it’s really dark and mostly covered in shadows so we don’t see many details. It looks so much different (and better) in RO so you can replace/enhance some backgrouds in the Revisited and add some extra shots from outside the base 😃

Retcon? They’re already in ANH, their existence in the ST and Solo is a reference, not a retcon. Unless you’re talking about the markings on the faces of the dice, in which case, yeah, the ones in ANH just had the usual dots like normal dice do and not the “alien” symbols of later movies.

Retcon in the sense they just are random props in the background of ANH, nothing of value attached to them, and suddenly they get some kind of narrative meaning out of the blue, as if they meant something. Their use in TLJ already was kinda weak, in Solo it was just insufferable.

Pretty sure the story about the dice being the set Han won the Falcon from Lando with has been around since at least 1983. IIRC, it’s explicitly mentioned in the first Marvel comic issue set after ROTJ.

OK, just to burst you bubble (Unless that was sarcasm, in which case I apologize but its hard to tell from text) but I’m sure you recall the Special editions came out before Disney. Also The Emperor anyone? Like between ESB and ROFJ he got a hell of a make over.
