I’m sure the anti-trust people would finally see that as a bridge too far.
They already were forced to sell the local Fox Sorts networks that they acquired since they own espn already, which is one of only two major players in national 24/7 sports coverage.
ABC/NBC would never be allowed to merge.
At least with the loss of Fox as an independent studio, WB, Universal, and Sony/Columbia should be able to pick up the slack. The same certainly won’t be true for network TV, and probably won’t be the same if another studio is lost.
