The use of the term Silver Screen Edition makes me think fan because of its obvious similarities to the Star Wars SSE. But, as you said, last year his KCOP/International Edition was released just prior to the official blu-ray. Perhaps it is similar and we will be seeing both. That would work for me. I would love to see both. Love the official releases, and I am a sucker for purchasing every new release. But I also love fan preservations both due to the technical expertise and care that is displayed and the fact that it is just out of a desire to see something loved preserved. I suppose we’ll see.
Well folk,
It is finally official.
It is not only here but all over the place. BTW it contains only the theatrical cut, no word yet on whether or not there will be a “definitive collectors edition” containing the TV and SE, so for now hang on to your Warner Archive blu ray of the latter two cuts.
P.S. I had a feeling the “Silver Screen Edition” trailer was a clue on what was to come. Now I await you guys doing your custom covers of the three versions.

The Blu-ray isn’t hard to find. You just have to buy it.
This may make Superman fans happy:
Hi does anyone have the original 2005 ric cut. Haven’t been able to find it in ages.
I was hoping to find the TV cut of II, but it looks like the legal crackdown means that won’t be happening.

What legal crackdown is this?

Apparently WB sent C&Ds to various sites selling them? I’m not sure how reliable the information is though.

It’s probably accurate but perhaps WB were mainly aggrieved about the commercial gain angle? Hopefully anything originating from here will fly under the radar because we’re not financially motivated. 😃
