It seems kind of strange to switch gears in the last paragraph by focusing from Leia to Luke. Maybe something like this:

It is a dark time for the
Rebellion. Imperial forces
have driven the Rebels from
their hidden base and pursued
them across the galaxy.

Evading the dreaded Imperial
Starfleet, Princess Leia and
her brave lieutenants have
established a new secret base
on the remote ice world of
Hoth.

The evil lord Darth Vader,
consumed in dark meditation,
has dispatched thousands of
remote probes in a quest to
find Leia’s most daring
commander, the young Luke
Skywalker…
