This is a longer video, because I think it helps to see the entirety of the scene when making a radical change like this. There’s nothing new until just before the halfway point.

I have to say I actually think this works. Having Rose shot down in this moment adds motivation for Finn and plays into the hopelessness of the situation, as big_gareth previously stated. Finn’s suicidal decision to continue on actually has more meaning for me now and feels more earned. I’m interested to hear if others feel the same way.

It may be the late hour, but at the moment I’m leaning towards Version 2! A great idea by RogueLeader, a great expansion of the idea by big_gareth, all building on top of darthrush’s excellent edit!
