Meh, the official DVD covers aren't that bad. They only did them that way to be in keeping with the prequel DVD covers. Personally I'd have preferred the original theatrical artwork for all six, or even the SE release artwork for the original trilogy. Anyway, mine's the best, as it's based on the 'Definitive' set.

Shortly after the SE, there was an OT bootleg (NYC) where all the credits were really phunky. For instance the movies was directed by georgEBRUCEWILLUS and all kinds of other cross contamination. Anyone ever see this?

Yeah, he could release a book on how to get amazing actors to turn in stilted performances.
Go rent 'Closer' or 'Garden State' and check out Natalie Portman's performance, and then compare it to her work in the prequels, or just about any film with Ewan McGregor in it, or even some of Hayden's other stuff...
